Holding Space for all Massage Therapists, Midwives, Health Practitioners

(2 CPD Points)

Presented by Sarah Fogarty

Holding space is a term that we hear often as being important for massage therapists and their work; however, holding space is not something that is necessarily taught to massage therapists.

This is  a two hour workshop exploring how to take a moment to listen with intention and skills to manage your response including your own self-care when engaged in a challenging conversation.

This workshop will discuss:

  • What is holding space?
  • What is the opposite of holding space?
  • Integrating trauma-informed care and holding space.
  • Tips on holding space for others.
  • Tips on holding space for yourself.
  • Challenges to holding space.
